| Installation |
SOLAS is usually installed near or on a
transfer-point in an air-conditioned container. For its
provision/maintenance only current and compressed air are necessary.
SOLAS is very easy to install at every type of conveyor belt.
In case of favourable local conditions, SOLAS is also able to take
samples from different conveyor belts, provided that their
transfer-points are not too far apart from each other (approx. 20 m). |
| Technique Of Sampling |
With SOLAS different techniques of
sample-taking are principally possible.
Due to additional technical efforts the sampling-system is also capable
of sampling wet material.
- Directly from a transfer-point
- This technique is often applied, when bulk
materials with great lump have to be sampled.
- From the upper side of the material on a conveyor
belt
- Only possible with steady/harmonious band
reservation and grain-sizes smaller than 30 mm possible.
- In connection to a conventional
sample-/processing-system
- In this case SOLAS is only used as a
quick-analyzing device taking its sample from the already crushed
material-stream.
- In pipe-lines like coal powder tubes the sample can
be taken directly from the tube
